My Experience

Starting as an intern at a retail startup my sophomore year, I’ve since expanded into department-wide social media coordination and management. This experience shaped my understanding of marketing and ability to put ideas into motion.

Social Media Intern

As social media intern, I had the opportunity to ideate, plan, film, edit, and post content from start to finish and monitor its success. My creation of a content calendar highlighted my organizational skills and follow-through. Marketing research leveraged my understanding of the target audience and guided my content creation. My content represents a consistent creative approach that contrasts similar accounts. My frequent collaboration with students and faculty kept content relatable and relevant. Through various marketing applications, soft skills, and software such as Adobe Express, I increased online engagement by 10%.

Retail Coordinator

My time as Retail Coordinator brought my interpersonal skills to the forefront. From interacting with customers, interns, and Deans, I was adaptable and able to communicate needs at different levels. My re-arrangement of the store optimized the customer experience and spoke to my knowledge of retail marketing. I increased conversions by 15% in the form of sales and in-store engagement. 

Assistant Marketing Manager

My time as Assistant Marketing Manager put to test my leadership abilities. I acted as a liaison between interns and managers, ensuring smooth marketing operations and communications. The brand image was kept intact throughout the marketing copy due to my detailed understanding of the company’s mission. Through managerial tasks and pioneering the social media campaign “Teaching Thursday” I increased engagement by 10%.

My Projects

I focused my projects on digital marketing, marketing planning, and marketing research, always keeping a keen eye for creativity and analytics. Through these projects, I bridged the gap between classroom and company, applying my knowledge to real world applications.

Case Study on Crumbl Cookie

My case study on popular cookie franchise “Crumbl” focused on digital marketing evaluation and recommendations. I conducted well-rounded research into various areas such as social media, SEM, and website efficiency. This research and tools like SEMrush identified key issues and its impact on the company’s overall health. I visualized data-driven solutions, from sample search ads to social media campaigns, to solve these issues. My integrated marketing approach led to an informative case study and compelling poster. I presented my research at Hofstra’s Undergraduate Research Day, where it received high appraisal and positivity.

Hofstra’s Capital Campaign

In accordance with our coursework, a group of students and I crafted an engaging campaign proposal from a digital marketing angle. Our research stemmed from an understanding of Hofstra’s Capital Campaign goals and digital marketing techniques. As a group member, I was responsible for determining campaign objectives, timelines, and SEO audit recommendations. We condensed our findings into Google Slides and presented in front of Hofstra faculty and administration.

Amazon Term Project

As a part of my Marketing Planning and Strategy course, a group of classmates and I developed a plan for Amazon’s Gen Z marketing campaign. In order to reach campaign objectives, we conducted primary and secondary research, tightened findings, and created a detailed strategy for Amazon to gain more Gen Z Prime subscriptions. I was responsible for creating a campaign idea, timeline, and survey, while identifying target audience insights, campaign execution, objectives, and measurable benchmarks. Our findings were presented in a slide show and term paper where we received perfect scores.
