The Task: Present solutions for a real business in a team of international students.
The Process: In accordance with the X-Culture Program, a group of international students and I selected a company in need of assistance. We selected MOS Burger, popular fast-food chain in Japan, and worked towards solving their business objective of international expansion. First, I conducted a SWOT analysis and identified new promising markets for expansion. Using journal articles and my understanding of international business, I suggested approximate restaurant locations and promotional efforts. In addition, I listed important reminders, such as how cultural differences can impair their expansion efforts. Next, I created a promotional infographic that correlated with their brand image and services. Lastly, I created the executive summary that condensed our findings into quick and reliable information for the company. Overall, I enhanced my communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills to keep my team on task and working towards the same goal.
The Result: I received an A for this portion of my class and a certificate for my participation from X-Culture.
